Barron's 2nd Edition PT1 Q68

68) This problem asks us to find the internal energy and the work done on a gas during an isothermal process. The problem also tells us that 600 Joules of heat are removed from the gas.

Where U is internal energy, Q is heat energy, W is work, n is number of moles, R is the universal gas constant, T is temperature, and V is volume

During an isothermal process, we can use these equations to solve problems. Although the blue formula is not necessary to know for the SAT, it could be useful.

Looking at these equations, we can instantly tell that work done on the gas is 600 Joules and there is no change in internal energy.
