45) Question 45 asks us to find the rate at which a heat engine exhausts heat. The question specifies that the heat engine operates at 60% of the efficiency of a Carnot engine with the same temperature range. We can use this information to find the efficiency of this engine.

Where e is efficiency, T[H] is the high temperature, T[L] is the low temperature

Efficiency describes the amount of energy used, so by multiplying this by the rate of absorbed heat, we can find the rate that the heat engine uses energy. the remaining heat would be exhausted.
