Where v is speed, f is frequency, and lamda is wavelength

With the given values for speed and wavelength in the warm air and brass, we can set up 2 proportions.

Where orange is for speed, blue(lamda) is for wavelength, and red is for frequency

Here, we can see that the left side of the equation is increased by a factor of 10 as the wave moves from warm air to brass. We also know that, due to wave properties, the frequency of the wave should remain the same. So, in order for the equation to stay true as the wave moves from warm air to brass, the wavelength must also increase by a factor of 10.
