55) The amplitude of the wave is the maximum amount of displacement the wave can create
on the medium. I have drawn and labeled the Amplitude on the picture below to give you an idea of where it is measured.

From this diagram we can tell that the A is the height of one crest or one trough of the wave. So the amplitude is half of the given distance measure the displacement from a crest to a trough. Thus, our amplitude is 0.08 meters.
