Princeton Review 16th Edition PT1 Q56

56) This problems asks us to find the wavelength of the drawn wave. A wavelength is defined as the distance traveled by 1 crest and 1 trough. A crest is at the “peak” of the wave and a trough is at the “valley” of the wave.

Here, we can tell that we have a crest, then a trough, then another crest. So, this means we have one and a half wavelengths. They tell us that this length is 0.6 meters, so we can set up the following equation.

Where lamda is for wavelength

Now, we can simply solve for the lamda(wavelength) and that should be our answer.

Answer: D
